Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Holden’s maiden victory in “The Great Race” at Bathurst, NSW, TW Steel in collaboration with Holden pay homage to Australian Touring Car Racing and Holden’s dominance past, present and future with this 1968 Monaro dial. With only 327 numbered timepieces produced, this timepiece is truly a collector’s item for racing enthusiasts. The 1968 Holden HK Monaro GTS 327 is a legendary Aussie muscle car. It brought the Chevy 327 V8 into the Monaro line and it was the first Holden to win the monumental Bathurst race. The sleek coupe was decked out in a Warwick Yellow paint scheme, with black racing stripes running down the bonnet, and a bold number 13 emblazoned on the door - the design inspiration for the TW Steel 1968 Monaro dial.
Based on the Volante collection, the TW Steel Holden Monaro GTS 327 Limited Edition timepiece features a 48mm, 316L steel case with PVD black coated bezel and screwed crown. It’s powered by the impressive Miyota movement and sports a luxurious, hardened mineral crystal with sapphire coating. The dial is emblazoned with the iconic number 13 and the case back also proudly shows Holden’s 50th Anniversary logo. The strap is genuine leather with Warwick yellow stitching, in keeping with the Monaro GTS 327 colours, and is finished off with a steel clasp.
